Police search for Diamond Head stabbing suspect

Police searched Diamond Head Beach this morning after a woman reported that she had been stabbed.

The victim, 48, told police that she had been stabbed by someone who tried to take her property at about 6:30 a.m. today. She was taken to a local hospital just after 7 a.m. in serious condition with up to five possible stab wounds to her body.

The incident reportedly took place on Diamond Head Beach near the lighthouse.

Police were not able to locate the suspect during their initial search of the beach.

The case is being classified as a robbery.
