The woman appeared to be intoxicated, police said.

Police identified her as Jasmin K. Robertson, 30, of Honaunau.

Police said Robertson was sitting in the northbound lane near the 107-mile marker when she was hit by a BMW sedan driven by a 50-year-old Captain Cook man about 6:30 p.m.

The driver was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.
