San Francisco man nearly drowns at Waikiki Beach

A 51-year-old San Francisco man nearly drowned at Waikiki Beach at 2:10 p.m. today.

The man was found floating face down in the water and his nephew pulled him out of the water, Emergency Services Department spokeswoman Shayne Enright. 

Lifeguards found he was not breathing and no pulse, performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation and revived the man.

He was taken by ambulance to a trauma center in critical condition.
