Man arrested in 4 armed robberies is transferred to federal custody

A 31-year-old man arrested in four armed robberies at retail establishments starting in August was transferred tonight to the custody of federal authorities.
The suspect was being held in connection with holdups that occurred at Walgreens Aug. 19; RIX Island Wear Sept. 3; Lono Jewelry Store Oct. 24; and Lucky Brand Jeans Nov. 4.
Police said they also found him with a replica gun and a stun gun.
