A Pearl Harbor-based destroyer is returning to Hawaii after a deployment lasting more than seven months.

The guided missile destroyer USS O'Kane participated in two Joint Air Defense Exercises and carried out missions with carrier strike groups while deployed to Asia and the Middle East.

The crew also participated in several community relations projects while stopping in Singapore, Bahrain and Thailand.

The O'Kane is scheduled to pull into port today. It left Pearl Harbor in March.
