71-year-old woman in critical condition after near-drowning

Paramedics took a 71-year-old woman to a local hospital in critical condition this afternoon after she nearly drowned off Electric Beach in Nanakuli, an Emergency Medical Services supervisor said.
The incident occurred near the Kahe Power Plant around noon.
