Fire rescue personnel Tuesday searched for and found a missing 70-year-old woman who was found unconscious in a vacant parcel of land in Ahuimanu.

Fire Capt. Terry Seelig said the woman was gathering fruit on a large parcel of land.

Fire personnel discovered her 50 to 75 feet off Ahuimanu Place.

Officials said the woman’s family reported her missing about two hours earlier.

Emergency Medical Services reported that the woman was taken in critical condition to an area hospital 6:59 p.m. Tuesday.

The woman was lying on the ground in critical condition due to a medical event and not from a trauma, an EMS supervisor said.
