A large earthquake off Russia's Kuril Island did not generate a large-scale tsunami, Pacific Tsunami Warning Center officials said this morning.

The magnitude-6.4 quake occurred at 5:12 a.m. Saturday near the epicenter (8:12 a.m. today in Hawaii) at a depth of 37 miles, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. It was centered 104 miles south of the Kuril Islands.

While it did not generate a widespread tsunami, officials at the warning center in Ewa Beach said quakes of this size can generate local tsunamis within about 100 kilometers of the epicenter,

Since we're hearing almost daily about these quakes it would seem to be only a matter of time before one does affect us severely. Why not go ahead and prepare now, rather than clean the shelves right before it hits. It would save a lot of hassle, and maybe your life.

The four corners of the Solar System will rest on the galactic plane on December 21, 2012. At this moment we will be at the closest point to the super massive black hole's gravitational force. The Maya Prophecy says, :Souls will be harvested. How the Maya knew this is still a mystery because scientist only found out that there was a black hole about 8 years ago. However, since our solar system entered the galactic plane in 1998, there's been over a 500% increase in earthquakes over 6.0 and over 400% increase in volcanic activity. If we have a geographical pole shift, a new equator will form, and coastlines around the world will flood inland 100 miles.
