Maili man arrested on suspicion of abuse, escape

A Maili man was arrested after allegedly assaulting a family member and then attempting to escape police after he was arrested earlier this week.
Police said officers went to the home of the man, 31, about 6:20 a.m. Saturday and arrested him in connection with an ongoing domestic violence investigation involving a woman, also 31.
After he was arrested, he attempted unsuccessfully to flee the grasp of arresting officers, police said.
