Police arrest Kalihi man after he allegedly hits girlfriend during argument

A 37-year-old Kalihi man was arrested Sunday after he allegedly struck his girlfriend several times and threatened her during an argument.

The incident occurred after the couple began arguing around noon. When the argument escalated the suspect allegedly struck the 29-year-old woman and then threatened her with a “dangerous instrument.”

The suspect was arrested on suspicion of first-degree terroristic threatening and two counts of a abuse of a household member.
