Food truck employee foils robber in Kahaluu

A Kahaluu lunch wagon employee foiled an attempt Monday by a man who tried hold up the roadside eatery.

Police said the incident occurred at 6:39 p.m. and the suspect escaped without getting any money after the 25-year-old lunch wagon employee refused his demands.

The suspect was said to be armed with a “dangerous weapon.”
