Cash, electronic devices taken in Kailua-Kona theater burglary

Burglars broke into a movie theater complex in Kailua-Kona and stole cash and electronic devices, Hawaii County police said Tuesday.

The burglary occurred sometime between 2:30 and 5:30 a.m. Monday, at the Makalapua Stadium Cinemas complex on Kamakaeha Street.

Police ask that anyone with information about the burglary call the Police Department’s nonemergency line at 935-3311. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona.
