State to test civil defense sirens in East Oahu

Hawaii Civil Defense officials will test sirens at Sandy Beach, Hanauma Bay, Waialae Beach Park and Maunalani Park from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. today.
Residents might hear the sirens sound for 30 seconds.
Technicians will use data from these tests to verify operational status and maintenance actions.
