A 28-year-old man was arrested Tuesday morning after he allegedly broke into his ex-girlfriend’s Kalihi Valley home and assaulted her.
The suspect entered the residence of a 30-year-old woman around 8 a.m. and assaulted her, police said. After accompanying the victim to her car to retrieve personal items, the suspect again assaulted the woman, police alleged.
The victim ran into the Kalihi home and tried to call for help but the suspect hung up the phone, police said.
The suspect, who listed no home address when he was arrested, is being held on suspicion of second-degree robbery, first-degree burglary, abuse of a household member, abuse and interference with reporting a crime.
