A 19-year-old Waipahu man faces a multitude of criminal charges after he allegedly assaulted a man during a robbery attempt at a Kapolei area store Thursday.
Police said the suspect tried to escape while receiving medical attention at the Waianae Comprehensive Health Center just after 2 p.m. He was found still wearing handcuffs.
Officers arrested him on suspicion of second-degree robbery, fourth-degree theft and escape.
