Maui firefighters extinguished a brush fire between the Waiehu Golf Course and the Waiehu Kou subdivision Saturday afternoon.
The fire, which was limited to an area approximately 50 feet by 75 feet, came within 150 feet of structures but did not pose an imminent danger to them, according to Maui Fire Department spokesperson Capt. Lee Mainaga.
The fire was first reported at 2:45 p.m. Firefighters brought it under control around 3 p.m. and fully extinguished it at 5:19 p.m.
The cause of the fire has not been determined. No injuries and no monetary damages were reported.
