Patient arrested for allegedly stealing supplies from hospital

A 40-year-old woman who was being treated at an emergency room of a Windward hospital Sunday is accused of trying to take medical supplies.
Police said the woman was in the process of being discharged at 11:35 pm Monday when she was seen going through drawers of a medical supply cart and stuffing items into her handbag.
The suspect was detained by a hospital security who called police.
She was arrested on suspicion of second-degree theft.
