Police track down alleged Waikele generator thieves

By Star-Advertiser staff

POSTED:

Theft charges are pending against three men who allegedly tried to steal two generators from a Waikele self-storage facility Sunday afternoon.

Police said an employee of the Pakele Street self-storage facility saw a truck enter the Waikele property at 12:37 p.m. and leave a few minutes later with two generators in its flatbed.

The employee checked the storage lockers owned by the facility and reported two generators missing.

The truck and the two generators were later located in Waipahu and the employee identified three suspects, ages 29, 28 and 29. They were arrested on suspicion of second-degree theft.
