Boy, 11, arrested for allegedly threatening another boy with 'dangerous instrument'

An 11-year-old boy was arrested Monday afternoon after he allegedly threatened another 11-year-old boy with a “dangerous instrument.”

Police said the two boys got into a fight which ended with one of the 11-year-old youths arrested on suspicion of first-degree terroristic threatening.

No other details were released by police.

To be punished for something that did not happen is a crime in itself. The 'word' threats should not be a punishable Crime. Deeds should be punished. The 'word' can be used to describe what transpired in the event, but that's as far as it should go. "If" it happens, it is now, an assault, no longer a threat. Now punishable. The threat? Just 'words'. Pity.
