Police seek 4 suspects in knifepoint taxi cab robbery in Kakaako

The public’s help is being sought by police in locating three men and a woman who robbed a taxi driver at knifepoint in Kakaako Tuesday morning.

The four were captured on a video surveillance camera from a business near where they were last seen.

Police said the four were picked up by the cab near Sheridan Street about 11:15 a.m. After arriving at the destination at 863 Halekauwila Street, one of the men brandished a knife and robbed the driver.

They then fled into a nearby business, police said.

All three men are described as between 5-feet-8 and 5-feet-10 inches tall, and weighing between 180 and 200 pounds.

The first man has long, dark and wavy hair and was wearing a white t-shirt and blue denim shorts.

The second man has dark hair was wearing a blue t-shirt and long, dark-colored pants.

The third man has long, dark and wavy hair and was wearing a white tank top, brown pants and a gray cap.

The woman was described as between 20 and 30 years old, between 5 feet 2 and 5 feet 6 inches tall,  and weighing between 160 and 200 pounds. She has long, dark wavy hair and was wearing a black t-shirt.
