Teen held in alleged assault on storekeeper in pursuit

Police arrested a 17-year-old boy who allegedly assaulted a 23-year-old woman who chased several male suspects who allegedly stole items from an Ala Moana area store.
Police said the teenager struck the woman several times with a dangerous instrument at about 10:25 a.m. Wednesday.
Police arrested the teen at 10:53 a.m. on suspicion of second-degree assault.
He was later released pending investigation.
