Car hits utility pole causing power outage in Salt Lake

Hawaii Electric Co. crews restored power to about 1,500 customers who lost electricity after a car hit a utility pole this morning.
Hawaiian Electric Co. spokesman Darren Pai said service was restored to the last 550 customers just before 8 a.m.
Police said the accident happened just after 4 a.m. near Salt Lake Boulevard and Maluna Street.
There were no reports of serious injuries.
