Police arrest Waipahu man for allegedly punching woman in face

A 58-year-old Waipahu man is in custody after he allegedly attacked a woman with a knife and struck her on the face.

The incident occurred at 11:45 p.m. Tuesday in Ewa Beach, police said.

The suspect allegedly struck the 27-year-old woman on the face with his fist and then broke into her car and attacked her with a knife, police said.

The suspect was arrested on suspicion of first-degree terroristic threatening and third-degree assault.
