Parolee rams cars in Kalihi attempting to flee from police

By Star-Advertiser staff

LAST UPDATED: 02:11 a.m. HST, Jan 12, 2013

A 32-year-old parolee with outstanding warrants panicked when she saw a patrol car in Kalihi near the Kapalama Shopping Center Thursday morning and fled, ramming several cars.

Police said the suspect was driving a car with three occupants, including two children, when she tried to avoid a police car. The suspect ended by the Zippy’s restaurant near the Kapalama Stream, which was blocked by cars.

The woman rammed several cars in trying to avoid police. She was later stopped and arrested on suspicion of several counts of criminal property damage, two counts of endangering the welfare or minors and a parole violation.

Need space. Also i seen on TV, and i do not know if this is true is in real life, that conditions of parole include admitting to the crime.

Cost consequences, which can run in excess of $50,000 per annum, to incarcerate a prisoner, plus space is limited and the judges have regaled the police for overcrowding the prisoners. Arizona, Pima County prison uses tents to house their prisoners. Hawaiian prisoners have it made, in fact better accommodations than the homeless. Only thing disallowed is conjugal sex for married prisoners, maybe?

I believe this was a giant misunderstanding. I'm sure she just craved some Zippy's chili and, like a starving lion, nothing was going to stand in her way.

Actually it was a starving lioness with her 2 cubs just trying to survive the jungle of life. So she had outstanding warrants, so she tried to ram other cars and someone could have been seriously injured or killed someone in her "panic"... HOWEVER many believe it is society who has done her wrong and has to take blame for her actions so go through the motions of requiring her to stand in front of a judge but in the end let her walk and give her NO prison time. And given she is has at LEAST two kids, make sure she gets ALL of her government assistance in the form of EBT, WIC, State sponsored health insurance, section 8 housing, etc. etc.

It all stems from her upbringing. If she was raised by Barack Obama's grandmother, she may have gone to Punahou.

No. Thank goodness HPD was there though. If one thinks about it, it is very difficult to get caught speeding for example if one goes with the crowd on a freeway. So she had to stand out, for the officer to notice that something was awry.

Allie, thought you'd be happy to hear that North Dakota finally made someone's top 15...Meth Use. Oh, and from NPR... "North Dakota’s ranking as No. 1 in binge drinking should come as no surprise when the state also ranks No. 1 in underage drinking. "

Allie, you've been hiding behind the fact that Mandans are such a relatively small population that they are usually lumped in with 3 other Siouan tribes of the Fort Berthold Reservation in regards to crime, drug/alcohol use, sex offenses, spousal and child abuse, etc. However even the MHA Nation acknowledged the fact that among ALL member tribes such crime rates among that group is above the National Average and above the average for the neighboring areas.
