Crash on Nimitz Highway leaves motorcyclist in critical condition

A 29-year-old man is in critical condition after he lost control of his motorcycle Sunday night on Nimitz Highway near the airport and was thrown to the road.

Police said the motorcycle was traveling east on Nimitz Highway near Peltier Avenue when the driver, who is believed to have been speeding, lost control of his bike.

The accident occurred just after 10 p.m.

Police said the motorcycle driver was not wearing a helmet.
