A 41-year-old parolee with a long string of convictions was arrested Monday night near the University of Hawaii Law School for allegedly stealing a motorcycle.

Police said the suspect also faces a charge of parole violation. The suspect was convicted of 17 misdemeanors and two felonies, including second-degree assault, starting in 1991.

The suspect was seen driving the motorcycle on Dole Street fronting the law school when he was stopped at 5:30 p.m. Monday and ran from police. Police determined the motorcycle had been stolen.

20 years of crime. Bookem and release em Danno. For heaven's sake why can't the judicial system keep these perps where they belong? They must be waiting for him to kill or rape an innocent victim. Maybe he has already?
