Police and Child Protective Services officials are investigating an injury suffered by a 10-month-old Kapolei boy, which an emergency room doctor reported as being “suspicious.”

The infant was brought to the hospital at 5 p.m. Tuesday with a leg injury. Hospital emergency room attendees were told that it was unknown how the injury occurred.

After the attending physician reported that injury “appeared to be suspicious,” police and Child Protective Services were notified.

No charges have been filed.
