The heavy rains have prompted health officials to warn the public to stay out of streams, flood waters and storm water runoff.

The Brown Water Advisory was issued for the island of Oahu due to possible overflowing cesspools, sewer manholes, pesticides, animal fecal matter, dead animals, pathogens, chemicals and associated flood debris. If coastal waters are turbid and brown, stay out, the health department warned.
