A 54-year-old Waianae woman suffered a minor cut on her hand Sunday when she and a friend were allegedly attacked by a man “swinging two dangerous weapons.”

Police arrested a 45-year-old Waianae man Monday on suspicion of second-degree assault and two counts of first-degree terroristic threatening.

Police said the incident occurred at 7:53 p.m. Sunday when the suspect confronted the two women in their Waianae home. The suspect allegedly threatened to kill the two women while swinging two dangerous weapons, police said.

The suspect fled and was identified and arrested Monday morning at his Waianae home.

ugh why does everyone have to make comments like that. Waianae like anywhere else on this island or for that matter in this coutnry have people who do stupid things. I keep reading about crazy things people do in waipahu, honolulu, and kaneohe. but never does anyone say such stupid things about those places. I know of many people who come from waianae and have made something (positive) of themselves. it's unfortunate that things and people like that do not get plastered all over SA. So sad.

True. I know a lot of people on the Waianae coast and they are no worse than people elsewhere.
