Broken water main cuts off service in Ewa Beach

A 12-inch water main break in Ewa Beach has cut water service to 27 customers including the Zippy’s Restaurant on Fort Weaver Road.
Water service was interrupted at the restaurant and a nearby senior citizen’s care home at 2:44 a.m.
The break occurred at 91-1369 Karayan St.
The Board of Water Supply has stationed water wagons at 91-1705 Fort Weaver Road near the restaurant and two locations on Karayan street. Repairs to the 12-inch line will take most of the day.
