Minor flooding was reported this morning at an Alewa Heights adult care center.

Firefighters were called to Hale Kakoo Respite Center at 1816 Alewa Dr. just after 8 a.m. and found that pipes on the slope behind the 5,000-square-foot home had broken, causing minor flooding.

There were no patients at the adult care facility for people with Alzheimer's disease and dementia when the break occurred. No one was injured and no other properties near Na Pueo Park were affected.

The facility is managed by the Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center
