China plunges to worst chills in 28 years

BEIJING (AP) — China Meteorological Administration says the country's average temperature has hit the lowest in 28 years this winter, as snow and ice throughout China have closed highways, canceled flights and stranded travelers.

The figures released by the administration on Friday show the national average was -3.8 degrees Celsius (25 degrees Fahrenheit) since late November.

The average temperature in northeast China dipped to -15.3 degrees C (4.5 degrees F), the coldest in 43 years, and dropped to a 42-year low of -7.4 degrees C (18.7 degrees F) in northern China.

The administration says the temperatures are dropping partly because of south-moving polar cold fronts, caused by melting polar ice from global warming. It adds the air is moist and likely to dump heavy snow in China, Europe and North America.

Oauu, how stupid do these people thing we all are? ... China is cooling down because global warming? :)))))))))))) .... they do not know anything about physics. If the planet was warming up, there is no way that such vast areas will cool down so much just because some melting polar ice. There is ALWAYS melting polar ice, even when the planet is cooling down, but what they don't tell us is that the ice mass is growing in the polar region. So, if the polar ice mass is growing, the "global warming" will melt even more, and there will be even more colder areas on the planet, right? OK, conclusion. We all will freeze to death one day if we don't stop Global Warming!????? .... No, one day the media and so called experts will not be able to keep up with their lies.

Please turn off Fox News for a few minutes and check out the real world. The polar ice cap has been shrinking both in thickness and summer area for 3 decades. The US Navy has retired its last submarine capable of breaking through Arctic pack ice because that capability is no longer necessary. Global warming is much more complicated than a simple "everything gets warmer everywhere". Warming in the Arctic causes upheavals in world weather patterns which might mean colder temperatures some places at some times as air masses shift from what used to be normal patterns.
