Obama: Make climate change a must for your vote

Associated Press

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama is urging Americans to rally support for his plan to combat climate change.

In his weekly radio and Internet address, Obama says Americans are already paying the price for climate change. He says America will be judged by how it responds.

Obama's national plan involves limiting power plant pollution, preparing communities for warmer temperatures and leading other nations in the effort.

Obama is asking Americans to teach their family, friends and classmates about climate change. He says Americans should warn elected officials they won't vote for anyone who doesn't protect future generations. He says a sound environment and a strong economy aren't mutually exclusive.

In the Republican address, Sen. Pat Roberts of Kansas says there are troubling, unanswered questions about the implementation of Obama's health care law.

Climate change has been happening forever. It is prudent to prepare for it. But it is not possible to make reliable long range predictions. In the 1970's Newsweek had an article on the coming Ice Age. Computer models are inherently unreliable, they build in the ignorance of their creators. It's why airplane and bridge designers still use wind tunnels. The neo-Marxists love it, another chance to set up a dictatorship. All this needs to be factored in.

Obama is becoming a laughingstock. He cites outdated "statistics" to prove his climate change assertions and, by executive fiat, declares war on coal, fossil fuels, jobs, and American prosperity. He insultingly lectures Senegal, a Muslim country, and the rest of Africa on same sex marriage. But I guess that's all we can expect from someone who gets briefed about his administration's scandals by the evening news.

First of all, Man-Made global warming is a hoax. Next, China and India alone will more than offset any Co2 reduction that America implements through any carbon tax. We will de-industrialize America and make the economy weaker while our enemies and competitors take over our markets. This is what you get when you put an idealogue and community organizer in the White House.
