Zimmerman's wife to 'think about' staying married

By Associated Press

POSTED:

SANFORD, Fla. (AP) — George Zimmerman's wife says she's going to have to "think about" whether she stays married to him.

Shelli Zimmerman made the comments to ABC on Wednesday after pleading guilty to a misdemeanor perjury charge for lying during a bail hearing following her husband's arrest for the fatal shooting of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin in February 2012.

She also said she wasn't home the night of the shooting because she'd had a fight with her husband.

She says the couple lived "like gypsies" in the months after George Zimmerman was released on bail, spending nights in a 20-foot trailer deep in the woods.

Her husband wasn't in court with her as she was sentenced to a year's probation and 100 hours of community service.

He was acquitted of second-degree murder in July.

She will stay with him especially after he wins millions from the NBC law suit. He will also sue the Prosecutor and city of stanford and win a hefty sum of cash there.

Given George's situation, this is a very tough decision for her. If I were George, I'd have to be thinking about changing my name and appearance as I don't think I could ever live a normal life as George Zimmerman. I'd have to expect/fear that people would be trying to kill me. Our president has pretty much put a target on him.

Another person putting the blame on Obama. It truely is a shame people want to blame the pres for all of our problems. Maybe you should start with yourself and your comments.

Yes, it is a shame that some people are so infatuated with this president that they are blinded to the facts. Maybe you should look at his record of blaming others and his record of racist comments and hopefully objectively reconsider your position.
