Missing man found after search in Hawaii island forest

Hawaii County police found the 20-year-old man who was reported missing in Ookala Sunday by a group of airsoft game enthusiasts.

Daysen Masuda was located in Ookola just before noon Monday. Police did not release any other details.

A group of 40 airsoft players started the search after Masuda could not be located following a lunch break Sunday. The fire department was notified at 4:58 p.m. and searched the heavily forested area in the Niupea Homestead Road area until after 7:30 p.m.

A helicopter aided firefighters and police when the search resumed this morning.
