Kayaker in critical condition after suffering medical emergency at Kailua Beach

A kayaker was taken in critical condition from Kailua Beach to the hospital this morning.
Emergency Medical Services said paramedics were summoned at 10:15 a.m. EMS did not say what type of medical emergency the victim, described to be his 30s, suffered to prompt the call.
