WASHINGTON » Former U.S. Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. has been charged with spending $750,000 in campaign funds on personal expenses. His wife was charged with filing false income tax forms.

Federal prosecutors filed a charge of conspiracy against the former congressman and charged his wife, Sandra, with one count of filing false joint federal income tax returns for the years 2006 through 2011.

In a statement, the former congressman says he offers no excuses for his conduct and fully accepts responsibility for the improper decisions and mistakes he has made.

Politician admitting his guilt? That sure is strange, but could be he could not b-ll his way out of it. Wonder how his wife got involved, usually they just sign the tax return and have no idea at all of the shennigans husbands do, in most cases.

Typical of Chicago politics--Gov Blagojevich's wife was getting $20,000 a month from a real estate firm for doing nothing, but they got the deals from the State. Look at Tammy Baker--usually the wife gets away. I used to rent a number of homes, one type never never paid rent.

Jackson and his wife have no need to worry. With their political connections, they can drag out the legal proceedings long enough to be pardoned by President Obama before he leaves office in 2016 along with several other Obama friends and associates including convict Tony Rezko, former Illinois governors and convicts Rod Blagojevich and George H. Ryan, convicted domestic terrorists Bill Ayers and his convicted domestic terrorists wife Bernadine Dohrn and a few more shady Chicago characters who helped Obama’s political career.
