Power was restored to 1,200 customers in Kalihi after they suffered an outage this morning that appears to be weather related.

At about 8 a.m., police received a report of low-hanging wires at the 1500 block of Alewa Drive. The roadway was blocked off as crews from Hawaiian Electric Co. conducted repairs. The road reopened before 1 p.m.

Power was restored at about 10:30 a.m. according to spokesman Darren Pai.

Crews from Hawaiian Telcom also responded.
