Counterfeit bill leads to arrest of woman renewing car registration

A 46-year-old woman was arrested Monday after she allegedly tried to pay her vehicle registration with a counterfeit bill. 

The incident occurred at 2:15 p.m. at the Wahiawa Satellite City Hall. 

The suspect was arrested on suspicion of forgery.

If it is small jail time, then this is a big reason why there is no Deterremt! Last time I checked, Counterfeiting and/or the passing of "phony bills" is a Federal offense. Which brings, and should bring, a significant jail sentence!!!
