Man arrested after allegedly attacking motorist in Kalihi

A 59-year-old homeless man is in police custody after allegedly attacking a woman sitting in her car near Kuhio Park Terrace in Kalihi.

Police said the 26-year-old woman was sitting in her car when the suspect approached her. The two got into an argument and then the suspect allegedly assaulted the woman and prevented her from calling police.

The suspect was arrested on suspicion of unauthorized entry and interfering with a person trying to report a crime or emergency.
