Medical examiner identifies woman who died while swimming at Ala Moana Park

The medical examiner’s office has identified the 78-year-old woman who died while swimming at Ala Moana Park Thursday as Carol Okazaki.

A autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.

The victim was taken in extremely critical condition to the hospital after being rescued from the ocean at 6:37 a.m., where she later died.
