About 2,400 Kaneohe households were without power this morning due to an equipment problem with an overhead line.

The outage occurred at about 5 a.m. along Kaneohe Bay Drive in the Kokokahi area, according to Hawaiian Electric Co. spokesman Peter Rosegg. Power has since been restored to 1,900 HECO customers and crews are working to restore service to the remaining customers, although there is no estimate of when repairs will be complete, he said.

This is the 1st of 3 power outages today. Kaneohe, airport area, and Waipahu. Eh, HECO, we pay to get power, NOT outage. No more heavy rain, no more strong winds. Get plenty sun, so maybe that's the problem, eh? Waste money...
