Kauai County rescuers have suspended the search for a male visitor who was swept out to sea on the north shore after three days of searching.

Phua Chuan Chin, 62, of Singapore was one of two men who was swept into the ocean by a rogue wave Monday while walking along a rocky shoreline along Kalihiwai Point.

The decision to suspend the search was made this afternoon when rescuers were unable to find his body after three days.
