Man, 49, charged in Kailua-Kona burglary

A 49-year-old Kailua-Kona man has been charged with burglary for a break-in that occurred last year in Kailua-Kona. 

Jerome Soares was arrested Monday and charged the next day with first-degree burglary and second-degree theft. His bail was set at $35,000. 

Police said the burglary took place Dec. 17 burglary at a home on Onaona Drive.
