Kamilah Martin bounced back from a poor first half and finished with a game-high 18 points as Hawaii beat Cal State Fullerton 53-43 on senior night for the Rainbow Wahine on Saturday.

A crowd of 1,866 at the Stan Sheriff Center saw UH pull away after trailing 22-18 at halftime.

Martin made just one of seven shots from the floor in the first half but scored 15 points after the break. She was also game-high with 12 rebounds.

Hawaii finished the Big West regular season at 13-5 and improved to 17-12 overall with its sixth win in its last seven games. It will be the third seed in the conference tournament next week in Anaheim, Calif.

Vicky Tagalicod, one of four players who were celebrated on senior night, scored 11 points. Shawna Kuehu added 10.

The other seniors playing their final home games were Kanisha Bello, Monica DeAngelis and Stephanie Ricketts.

Chante Miles led the Titans with 12 points and Mya Olivier added 10.

Coach Beeman has energetically brought her smart, class, coach-ability and, love to Hawaii.. So far, a little media recognitions, some knowledgeable admirations.. but, butt-on-the-seats amounted to a miserably few in just a handful hundreds! She has desperately and rightfully asked that “Where is the love?” Nice to see there are 2-3 thousands in the SSC last night!? You know what, by the next Senior-night, if we don’t give her that many as an average count for every game at the least then, she will leave us as soon as she can. Please, don’t hurt her feelings!
