A 51-year-old Waianae woman wanted for stealing merchandise from a Kapolei store last year turned herself into police Tuesday.

The suspect, wanted for second-degree robbery, was released pending further investigation after she was processed by police.

The incident occurred Aug. 18 when the suspect allegedly hid merchandise in her handbag and fled the store without paying. Confronted by a store official, the suspect pushed the 31-year man and fled, police said.
