Honolulu gas prices remain near 2013 high

Average retail gasoline prices in Honolulu have not moved in the past week, averaging $4.30 per gallon Monday, according to GasBuddy's daily survey of 214 gas outlets in Honolulu. This compares with the national average that has fallen 1.9 cents per gallon in the last week to $3.65 per gallon, according to gasoline price website GasBuddy.com.

Including the change in gas prices in Honolulu during the past week, prices Monday were 5.9 cents per gallon lower than the same day one year ago and are 8.9 cents per gallon higher than a month ago. The national average has decreased 4.1 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 15.0 cents per gallon lower than this day one year ago.

The high water mark for average Honolulu gas prices in 2013 was $4.31 on March 1, according to GasBuddy.com.
