Gretchen Jones beat finalists Mondo Guerra and Hawaii designer Andy South to win Season 8 of "Project Runway."
Big Island-raised Ivy Higa left the show in Week 9 of the series, while South made it into the final three, besting fellow Honolulu Community College alumnus Jay Sario, who, last season, had achieved final-four status.
South will appear at a "Project Runway Finale Event" viewing party tonight at Honolulu Design Center. The event started at 6 p.m. with picture-taking with fans, followed by informal modeling and a presentation of his past work and current projects.
