Police arrest man for allegedly choking father, 62

A 25-year-old man was arrested early this morning at a Waikiki hotel when he allegedly choked his father during an argument.

Police said the argument began at 10:30 p.m. and escalated when the son punched his 62-year-old father and then allegedly placed both arms around his father’s neck.

The suspect was arrested at the hotel on Kuhio Avenue on suspicion of abuse of a family member.
