Ocean safety personnel and firefighters brought a 16-foot Hobie catamaran to shore after it lost its mast in waters off Hauula this afternoon.

Two people on-board were not injured, Honolulu Fire Department Capt. Terry Seelig said.

It’s unclear what caused the boat to lose its mast as there were no currents or winds, he said.
